We're currently moving the boards from our temporary lodging back to our main system. Once this is complete various missing things should be right back in place.

A few boards, /gif/ and /yakui/ made the chopping block due to general inactivity over several years. Attempts were made to spark /yakui/ to life but were generally unsuccessful, and it's content can better serve /art/. As for /gif/ there was no content there that couldn't go somewhere else. These boards give way for fresh ideas.

General Rules

1. Nothing illegal. That means NO CHILD PORN. Any child porn posted will be removed, and you will be permanently banned.

2. If you act like some dumb kid or an arrogant douchebag or really anything that we deem an "undesirable element" (camwhores, trolls, etc) you can expect to not remain here for very long.
3. This community is 18+ Only. This is for legal reasons. Do not ignore this rule and try acting like nothing's wrong, we are obligated to remove you. Underage bans are quickly removed upon displaying proof of age to a staff member. If you admit to being underage, goodbye.
4. The above rule also applies if your spelling and grammar is about as bad as someone underage. Hint: you look like a total moron.
5. If you want to advertise, then buy a banner. Don't want to? Then don't shill your products/services/contests by posting threads about them, pissing people off in the process, and getting yourself banned/deleted/wordfiltered for all eternity.
6. We do not care about 4chan/Any other chan bullshit. Do not post threads like "SO I JUST GOT BANNED FROM 4CHAN" - You will be banned.
7. Before you post, take a few deep breaths and try not to rage at anyone and anything that doesn't tickle your fancy. You are not doing anything to contribute to the overall health of the board, and instead create an air of hostility. This makes other people hostile, and things just get worse and worse. RELAX. Before your negativity gets you booted out. Moderators are there to keep things in order. Our rules are in place to protect the decency of our boards. If you have complaints, take it to /420/ where they belong.
8. This website is a privilege. It is run and maintained by us in our spare time, and causes us nothing but constant headaches and lost sleep. We do it for YOUR continued enjoyment. Show a little respect to the few of us in charge.
9. Lastly, try not to be a humorless little fuckwad that complains about the slightest thing because WAAAAAAH YOU'RE INTERFERING WITH ME POSTING ABOUT MY DUMB FRIENDS GETTING STONED AT THE WAL-MART PARKING LOT. Sometimes we do strange things to the site. Sit back, light up a joint, and, you know, try to enjoy yourself.

Drug Board Rules

1. NO BUYING OR SELLING ALLOWED. Asking for information on districts in a city or a general location go to or asking for general prices is perfectly fine.
2. Don't troll the drug sections if you don't like drugs. They're for semi-intelligent discussion on each topic. Nobody cares about your dumb false information some idiot told you at your school's DARE meeting about how one puff of marijuana will make you rape your dog and kill your parents and shoot crack cocaine into your eyeballs.
3. No goddamn POST YOUR AREA CODE threads you stupid fucks. This is for your own safety.
4. Check at least 5 pages back before posting a BUMP WHEN HIGH thread.
5. There are other boards on 420chan for you to post about music, movies, growing, etc. The site is called "420chan" for a reason. Please refrain from using these boards as a dumping grounds for anything you do "when you're high".

How do I get Unbanned?

1. There's a few little things called "Patience" and "Politeness". See the link up above that says "Mods"? It contains contact information for a handful of us. Do not contact mods this way for bans. We have mechanisms in place on our IRC network to make ban management significantly quicker. Please, use irc.420chan.org #420chan for ban queries.
2. The chances of being unbanned are related to the offense. Obviously if you post kiddy diddling you aren't going to get much from us.
3. Be prepared to be entertaining for the staff. Seriously.

Install 420chan Extension!

If you get the error Invalid file hash (possible download corruption) -261, here are a few things to try.

1. Clear your cache. Go to Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network / Offline Storage -> Clear Now and then try reinstalling the extension.
2. Enable third-party cookies. To do this go to Tools -> Options -> Privacy and check the Accept third-party cookies box.
3. Manually install the extension. The easiest way to do this is to just right click, Save As, and then drag the downloaded file into the Firefox window. This should initiate the installation process.

How to connect to the server with irssi

1: Start irssi
2: Type /connect irc.420chan.org
3: Type /nick <yournickhere> (example: /nick stupid_fucker)
4: Type /join #<channel name> (example: /join #420chan)

5: Press the alt-key and the window number you want to go to. Server window is window 1, and your new channel is window 2. To go to window 2, you press alt+2.

6: If you are kicked, you can rejoin by repeating step 4.
7: To write a private message, type /msg <nick> <message>.
7: To leave a channel, write /wc (window close)

General Network Rules

1. Users must remain in a channel if they are on the network. You could be glined forever.

2. No buying or selling drugs or soliciting to do so is allowed on any channel on the network. Anyone found to be doing so will be ejected violently.

3. If you're banned or killed randomly, don't take it harshly, it's almost always in jest and reversed just as quickly.
